Cannot Edit Shared Google Document

Why can I no longer edit a Google Document after I try to reopen it?

Environment

• Google Docs

Cause

You may be signed in with the incorrect account. 

Resolution

1. Open Google Docs.
2. Select the profile icon at the top right-hand corner.
3. Review your Google Accounts that are listed and select the account that should have editing access on the document.
4. Once you reopen the original document, you should be able to edit.
