Issue/Question
How do I reset Microsoft Edge's settings to default?
Environment
Cause
There are some malicious sites that will edit the browser settings to make Microsoft Edge appear as though the device has a virus. Resetting Edge to default settings will typically remove these messages. However, it is still recommended to run a Windows Security scan to ensure there is no malicious software as well, see the related article for instructions. If this does not work contact the WKU ITS Service Desk at 270-745-7000.
Various settings may have been changed or edited.
