Logging into a Lab Computer

Issue/Question

How do I log in to a lab computer?

Resolution

You must be a current Student, Faculty, or Staff member in order to use Lab machines. Students must be enrolled in courses. If you are not enrolled, see the related article Registering for Courses.
  1. At the log in screen, enter your WKU Account username and password.
  2. Press Enter or select the blue circle with a white arrow to log in.
Mac lab computers only — If you receive the error Password not set. Verify username mapping in configuration is correct and you are not using passwordless login your Microsoft account is configured to use a Passkey or passwordless authentication, which is not supported on Mac lab computers.

Mac Lab: Passkey / Passwordless Authentication Error

  1. At the Mac log in screen, enter your WKU Account username and proceed.
  2. When your mobile device prompts you to Approve sign in, do not approve it.
  3. Look for the Use your password instead link on that screen — it may appear small or below the main prompt.
  4. Tap that link, then enter your password to complete the log in.
