How do I change DNS providers on my Mac?
Environment
Resolution
If the computer is owned by Western, the first or second DNS provider must be one of the following WKU DNS entries:
161.6.94.105
161.6.94.106
52.25.213.14
Without one of the above entries, you may not be able to log into your computer and/or connect to networked-drives (personal, shared, and secure) nor use departmental printers.
- Click (Apple Menu).
- Select System Preferences... .
- Click Network.
- Click Advanced... .
- Click DNS.
- Click under the DNS Servers: column.
- Enter the desired DNS provider address.
- Click OK.
