What devices are unable to connect to the WKU network?
Resolution
These devices cannot connect to the wired or wireless network:
- Google Chromecast
- Google Nest Hub
- Nintendo Wii cannot get wireless access. The Wii has to have a LAN adapter.
- Routers or other network extending equipment.
- Wireless Printers cannot be added to the network, you must use wired USB.
- Apple AirPlay is disabled on WKU's network; however, Apple TVs can access internet on a wireless and wired connection.
- FitBit Versa
- Sonos Speakers
- Lovebox Devices
- Most wireless security cameras
- Robot Vacuums, such as Roomba and Eufy
- Hatch Alarm Clocks
- 3D Printers are not allowed in student housing, but can be set up in classrooms, labs, etc.
