Increasing Blackboard Course/Organization Quota

How do I request my Blackboard Course/Organization quota be increased?

Resolution

WKU ITS limits Courses and Organizations to a 2GB limit. Course size will not be increased.

If you are reaching the 2GB limit, here are some suggestions from WKU ITS on how to lower the size of your course.

1. Log into Blackboard.
2. Open the Blackboard course where files need to be deleted. 
3. Click the ellipsis button ( ) in the upper-right corner, next to the magnifying glass.
4. Select Unused Files. 
5. Files not being used at all in the course will be shown, where you can easily delete them as needed. Additionally, you may change the drop down menu to view all files in the course, even if they are being used. 
6. Delete files as needed to free up more storage space in the course. 
7. Here are some suggestions for reducing the file size of your large files:
   • Videos: Video files can no longer be uploaded to Blackboard. Alternatively, please upload them to Mediasite and share the video to your course.
