Issue/Question

How do I remove a duplicate discussion board thread?

Resolution

Blackboard Original

Note: Students do not have the ability to delete threads.

Select course under My Courses heading.
Select Discussion Board.
Select which forum has a duplicate posting.
Click the downward facing arrow next to the duplicated thread title.
Select Delete.

Blackboard Ultra

Select Courses in left menu.
Choose course in question.
Select Discussions in course navigation tabs.
Find the duplicated discussion thread.
Click ellipsis icon at to the right of the thread to access more options.
Click Delete.
You will be prompted to ensure you wish to permanently delete this discussion. Click Delete again to confirm.
