Disabling VoiceOver

Issue/Question

My Apple computer has suddenly started announcing what I'm doing on screen.

Environment

  • macOS

Cause

The VoiceOver feature has been turned on.

Resolution

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Click Accessibility.
  3. Click VoiceOver.
  4. Uncheck the Enable VoiceOver box.
