OneDrive Cannot Access Keychain

Issue/Question

When I open OneDrive on my Mac I get the following error:

There was a problem accessing your keychain.

Environment

• macOS
  • Microsoft OneDrive

Cause

The Microsoft OneDrive software is unable to read the stored credentials in the macOS Keychain Access in order to succesfully log in and access your OneDrive account. 

Resolution

1. Quit OneDrive if it is open. 
2. Open Keychain Access from your Utilities folder located within the Application folder. 
3. In the search box in the upper-right corner, enter the following: OneDrive
4. Delete any records of the OneDrive account or OneDrive credentials that come up. 
5. Reboot your computer. 
6. Open the OneDrive application and sign back in.
