Issue/Question
How do I make Finder stay a specific size for a folder?
Cause
When a folder is accessed, it inherits the size of whatever Finder window was last opened.
Resolution
- Open a new Finder window.
- Navigate to the folder that contains the folder you want to have a specific size.
- Right-click the folder you want to have a specific size.
- Select Make Alias.
- A shorcut to the folder will be created.
- Double-click the shortcut.
- The folder will appear in a new Finder window.
- Resize the window as desired.
- Close the window.
- If desired, you can rename the shortcut and move it to a different location, e.g. the Desktop.
Whenever you open the shortcut to the folder, it will appear in a new Finder window and keep the size it had the last time it was opened.
