Starting a Zoom Instant Meeting Using Personal Meeting ID

How do I start a Zoom Instant Meeting using a Personal Meeting ID?

Environment

  • Zoom

Resolution

  1. Open your Zoom client and sign into Zoom.
  2. To see your personal meeting ID, click Profile in the left sidebar.
  3. Click Edit next to Personal Meeting ID.
  4. Check Use Personal Meeting ID for instant meetings.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Meetings in the left sidebar.
  7. Click Personal Room.
  8. Click the blue Start button to immediately begin meeting.
  9. Now when you start meetings on this computer, it will use your Personal Meeting ID (PMI).

Note: This is not recommended for class meetings, as your personal meeting space is always accessible to anyone you give the ID to.
