NetID Showing Up as Name in Zoom Meeting

Issue/Question

My NetID is showing up as my name in my Zoom meeting.

Environment

  • Zoom

Cause

The user is not logged into Zoom before joining a meeting. 

Resolution

If you're already in the meeting:

  1. Leave the meeting. 
  2. Open the Zoom Desktop client. 
  3. Log in using WKU SSO. 
  4. Once logged in, join the meeting again. You should now see your full name as recognized by WKU.
