Changing Default App or File Type Association (Windows 11)

Issue/Question

How do I change the default filetype association on Windows 11? 

Resolution

1. Click the Start  button.
2. Click Settings .
3. Click Apps.
4. Click Default Apps. 
5. Search which default file type you would like to change or search for the specific app you would to change and select the application of your choice.
