Changing How A Document Opens

Issue/Question

When I download a file it automatically opens in a new tab. How can I open the document within the application?

Environment

• Windows

Resolution

1. Locate your document in File Explorer. This should be a yellow folder located in the task bar.  
2. Right click on the document.
3. Select Show More Options.
4. Select Properties.
5. Locate Opens with:
6. Select Change.
7. Select an application to open the document with.
8. Click Apply.
9. Click OK.
