Blackboard App for Mobile Devices

Issue/Question

How do I log into the Blackboard app or receive Blackboard notifications on my phone when an assignment or test has been graded?

Resolution

The Blackboard Mobile Learn app provides notifications for graded items and other content. Review Blackboard mobile system requirements here.

Log In

  1. Download the app for Android or iOS. 
  2. Open app.
    Note: If prompted by your device to allow notifications, tap Allow.
  3. Tap Type your school/workspace name field. 
  4. Enter Western Kentucky University. 
  5. Tap Continue with Web-Login.
  6. You will be presented with Blackboard’s Privacy Policy & Terms of Use. Tap OK to agree & continue.
  7. Tap WKU Sign In.
  8. Sign in using your WKU email address & password.
  9. Complete MFA authentication.
  10. Tap Agree to accept the Blackboard Terms of Use.
    Note: If prompted by your device to allow notifications, tap Allow.

 

Enable App Notifications

  1. Tap More in bottom toolbar.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Push Notifications. 
  4. Toggle New grades and feedback to On. Changes are applied automatically.
