Application Displaying Full-screen

Issue/Question

The application I am in has expanded to cover the entire screen. How do I return the window to its normal size?

Cause

Starting with OS X 10.10 Yosemite, the green button in the top-left corner expands the active window to full-screen mode. The button previously maximized the window to the exact dimensions needed.

Resolution

  1. Move the mouse cursor to the top of the screen.
  2. The application and Apple bars will appear.
  3. Click the Green button to return the window to its normal size.
