Changing Date and Time

How can I change the date and time settings on my Mac?

Environment

  • macOS

Resolution

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Select Date and Time. If needed, unlock this setting by clicking the   icon in the lower left corner. 
  3. If the Set date and time automatically option is turned on, click the check box to turn it off. 
  4. Set your computer to the correct date and time. 
  5. Click the to keep this setting from being altered.
