Disabling Messaging on Blackboard Course Sites

Issue/Question

I am receiving message notifications from students on my Blackboard Site. How do I prevent this from happening?

Environment

  • Blackboard
    • Ultra View courses

Resolution

  1. Log into Blackboard. 
  2. Navigate to the course where you wish to disable course messages. 
  3. Click the Course Settings gear in the upper-right corner. 
  4. Move the slide for course messages to the off position. This will disable the course messaging feature in the given course.
