Issue/Question
How do I allow some external links or websites in my Blackboard exams that are completed via Respondus LockDown Browser?
Environment
Resolution
- Navigate to the course site where the test is located.
- Expand Control Panel under Course Management.
- Expand Course Tools and the select Respondus Lockdown Browser.
- Click Continue to LockDown Browser
- Click the chevron next to the exam you want to allow external domains for.
- Click the bubble next to Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam if it's not already selected.
- Then click the Checkbox next to Allow access to specific external web domains
- In the box that appears, put any web domains that you need your students to have access to separating multiple links with a comma.
e.g. algebra-ebooks.com, calculus-ebooks.com.
- Click Save + Close.
You will need to add a link to the site onto the exam so that your students are directed to the webpage, this feature only allows them to go anywhere on the specified sites only.
