Importing a Test Created with Cengage

How do I use a test I created with Cengage?

Resolution

Any issues experienced with tests created in Cengage are not supported by WKU Blackboard. The supported third-party test creator is Respondus, which Cengage can also export to. The test could then be edited in Respondus and then exported to Blackboard.
  1. Using Cengage, export the test to Blackboard 7.1+, saving it somewhere easily accessible, such as the desktop.
  2. In Blackboard, navigate to the course.
  3. Expand Course Tools and click Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
  4. Select Pools.*
  5. Choose Import Pool and navigate to the saved file.
  6. A test will then need to be created, using the question pool for its source.

Note: Cengage does not export tests as Tests, but as question Pools.
