Loading Apps at Startup (macOS)

Issue/Question

How do I open applications, network drives, or specific files when I login to my computer?

Environment

  • OS X 10.7+

Resolution

  1. Click the Apple  on the System Bar.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Select Users and Groups.
  4. Select Login Items.
  5. Click +.
  6. Navigate to and select the desired application, folder, or file.
  7. Click Add.
