Issue/Question
When I try to print I get an blue screen with the following error message:
Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart.
We're just collecting some error info, and then
We'll restart for you.
APC_INDEX_MISMATCH for win32full.sys
Environment
Cause
A Windows update that was released must be removed in order to correct this problem.
Resolution
Please follow these directions carefully and make sure you only run the file matching your version of Windows as described below.
- Click the button.
- Type
File Explorer and press Enter.
- Scroll to Shared (S:) drive.
- Double-click UNIVERSITY-WIDE-SHARED.
- Double-click Printer Update Fix.
- Double-click March 18, 2021.
- Right-click on the file named Right-click-and-Run-as-administrator.Windows-OOB-Update-for-Printing.bat.
- Select the option to Run as administrator.
- Follow the instructions that pop up on the screen to begin the installation process.
Note: This could take 5 to 30 minutes to run.
- Once complete, Restart computer.
