Adding Exchange Email (iOS)

How do I add my Exchange account to my iPhone / iPad?

Resolution

 Note: Student workers and departmental/generic Exchange accounts do not have the ability to add their account to mobile devices, by default. Please contact the ITS Service Desk to request this feature be enabled.

From your iOS device, you can download this file and enter your Employee email address, domain (ad\) and NetID, and your NetID password when prompted. To manually add the account, follow the steps below.

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Accounts & Passwords. (If you're using iOS 10.3.3 or earlier, tap Mail instead)
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Tap Exchange.
  5. Enter in:
    1. Email: Full email address (e.g. big.red@wku.edu)
    2. Password: NetID password
    3. Description: Whatever you would like to describe it as
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Enter in:
    1. Server: email.wku.edu
    2. Domain: ad
    3. Username: NetID
    4. Password: NetID Password
  8. Tap Next.
  9. Tap what you would like to sync to the device.
  10. Tap Save.
  11. If messages/events do not start loading, restart the device to force the account to start syncing.
     Note: It will take a few moments to sync all emails to the Mail app.
