When will I get a WKU email account?

Resolution

As a WKU employee, your @wku.edu email account is your official WKU email account. All university communications, including student-related communications, are sent to this account.

Student email accounts are automatically created within 24 hours of admission to WKU.

Full-time WKU employee email accounts are created after the hiring process is completed through WKU Human Resources.

Employees who are also students do not automatically receive TopperMail accounts as their primary student email account. A TopperMail account may be requested and accessed separately; however, official student communications will continue to be sent to the employee @wku.edu account. 

Existing TopperMail accounts remain separate from employee @wku.edu accounts. Email sent to TopperMail are not automatically forwarded to the employee email account.
