Associating a New Device

Issue/Question

I have a new phone number or device and/or I have reset my phone and I need to add to my Duo account.

Environment

  • Duo Mobile

Cause

You are able to add new devices to your Duo account as long as you have access to your currently enrolled device.

Resolution

It is possible to configure Duo on multiple devices, such as both an iPad and an iPhone. To configure Duo for multiple devices, please repeat the steps below for each additional device.
  1. Go here.
  2. Log in with your NetID and password.
  3. If prompted, click Cancel when Duo tries to send a notification to your currently enrolled device.
  4. Click Add a new device.
  5. If prompted, approve the new login request on your current device.
  6. Select the type of device you want to add.
  7. Follow the directions on screen.
  8. If you have any issues please submit this online request or contact the ITS Service Desk.
