Why can't I print to my printer?

Resolution
To properly troubleshoot a network printer, complete the following steps. After each step, attempt to test the network printer's functionality. If functionality is not restored, continue to the next step.
- Power cycle the printer.
- Remove and re-add the printer.
- Check for OS updates.
- If the issue occurs with only one application/suite, check for software updates.
- Attempt to add the printer to a different machine to see if the issue is related to the printer or the computer.
- Ensure the Default paper size is set to US letter.
- Select the apple icon .
- Click on System Preferences.
- Click on Printers & Scanners.
- Select the printer under the Printers header.
- Change the Default paper size: drop-down field to US letter if the user is wanting to print on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper.
