Missing Assignments After Course Copy

Issue/Question

I did a course copy, but my assignments are not listed in the new course.

Environment

• Blackboard Original View Courses

Cause

In order to copy over assignments from one Blackboard course to another, you must select both the content area where they reside (ex. Content Areas -> Assignments) and the Grade Center Columns and Settings option when performing a course copy. If the "Grade Center Columns and Settings" option is not selected, assignments will not appear in the destination course following a course copy.

Resolution

Execute a course copy from the source course (containing the assignments) to the destination course following these steps:

1. Click Packages and Utilities.
2. Click Course Copy.
3. Select the following options:
   • Content Areas -> Assignments (or the content area in which the assignments reside).
   • Grade Center Columns and Settings.
4. Click Submit.
