Adding WKU Exchange Accounts to Outlook 2019 (macOS)

Issue/Question

How do I add an Exchange account to Outlook 2019 on my Mac?

Environment

  • Microsoft Office
    • Outlook

Resolution

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click the Outlook menu
  3. Select Preferences
  4. Click Accounts
  5. Click the plus sign  in the lower left corner. 
  6. Select New Account... 
  7. Type in your email address
  8. Click Continue
  9. Enter your NetID password when prompted to enter your email password
  10. Authenticate with Duo, if prompted. 
  11. The account may take a few moments to authenticate. Click Done when finished. 
    Note: It may take Outlook a few minutes to update and sync all of your mail and folders after adding the account.
