Installing Software with the Software Center App


How do I install applications from the Software Center app on my WKU Windows device?


  1. Click (Start).
  2. Click Software Center.
  3. Click the app you want.
  4. Click Install.
  5. The app installation will begin. You can close the window.
  6. To check the progress of the installation, return to the Software Center and click  Installation Status.
If you do not see the app you need, you can request it be added through the Service Catalog. In the meantime, you can manually download and install it directly from the application's vendor. You may need to use the Make Me Admin app to install the software.
If the app has been added recently, but you do not see it, the Software Center app may need to be manually updated.
If apps fail to install, check that your computer is connected to WKU's network.
