Adding a Ricoh MPS Printer (macOS)


How do I add my department's Ricoh MPS printer to my computer?

Your department's printer can be installed using our device management solution, Mosyle. To see if your department's printer is available through this means, open the Self-Service app and click  Printers at the bottom of the window. If it is not listed, please contact the ITS Service Desk to request it be added. Until it is available through the Self-Service app, you can use the instructions below.
  1. From the table below, identify your department's printer in the left column and click the corresponding Download link in the right column:

  2. Open the downloaded DMG file to mount the installer.
  3. Launch the PKG installer. 
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click Agree.
  7. Click Install.
  8. When prompted, enter your NetID password and click Install Software.
  9. Click Close.
  10. Click (Apple System Menu button).
  11. Click System Preferences.
  12. Click  Printers & Scanners.
  13. Click (Add a printer, fax, or scanner).
  14. Click into the  Search field.
  15. Enter PS-MPS.
  16. Locate and click your area's printer.
  17. In the Use drop-down menu, click Select Software... .
  18. Search for your area's printer by model number.
     Note: If the model is not listed, please contact the ITS Service Desk.
  19. Click the corresponding driver and click OK.
  20. Click Add.
  21. Click Options & Supplies... .
  22. Click Options.
  23. Enable the add-ons your area has opted for.
     Note: If you are uncertain of the model numbers, please contact the ITS Service Desk.
  24. Click OK.
