Installing Microsoft 365 (Android)


How do I install Microsoft 365 for free on my personally-owned Android device?

WKU Retirees and Part-Time Staff are ineligible for Microsoft Office for personal devices. Retirees and Part-Time Staff are eligible only for an email address. 

Microsoft 365 Pro Plus includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other titles depending on platform. Under this program, current Faculty, Full-Time Staff and Students may install the software on up to five devices/computers.

These are mobile applications, not web or cloud apps. The software will remain active and usable for as long as you are current Faculty, Full-Time Staff, or Student.  Based on Microsoft’s licensing requirements, it's not offered to past students who have graduated or leave WKU.


  1. Tap the Play Store.
  2. Tap the Search bar.
  3. Search for Microsoft 365.
  4. Tap Microsoft Office Mobile.
  5. Tap Install.
  6. Tap Accept for Use Terms.
  7. Tap Open.
  8. Tap Sign in.
  9. Type in your WKU email address.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. Tap Work account.
  12. Tap the text box and type in your WKU email address.
  13. Enter your email password if you are a student, or enter your NetID password if you are a Faculty / Staff member.
  14. If prompted by an additional security measure type in your WKU email address.
  15. Type in the security code that was sent to your WKU email account.
  16. Tap Next.
  17. Choose whether to connect your Office Mobile to Dropbox.
  18. Tap the arrow button.
